3716385 - Generate Intercompany Billing Request Application Job: Best Practices for Scheduling Filters

Symptom

In the Generate Intercompany Billing Request App (New Solution), the system does not restrict scheduling the intercompany job by date. A period of up to a year or more can be entered. This can cause performance issues in both the Generate Intercompany Billing Request process and subsequent intercompany Billing Document Request processing.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Resolution

  • It is recommended to not run the job for periods longer than three months as this can cause performance issues with the intercompany job and further Billing Document Request processing.
  • Also, please note that billing documents have a limit of 999 line items per document. However, creating large documents is not recommended. Large documents can cause errors during output processing or make it difficult to cancel the document if needed.
