3716396 - Change Reporting Rule Error

You try to change the reporting rule and receive the error message: Reporting rule XYZ has been assigned, and cannot be changed or deleted.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Go to the Define Reporting Rules app.
2. Fill in the parameters as required.
3. Select the button Change.

Error: Reporting rule XYZ has been assigned, and cannot be changed or deleted.

XYZ stands for the reporting rule variant.

The reporting rule has been assigned, hence it cannot be changed or deleted.

Reporting rule variant cannot be changed after it has been assigned to reporting rule version. 

If you want to make changes, you must create a new reporting rule variant by copying the variant that is already been assigned to the report rule version. Then, you can make changes to the newly copied variant.
