3716420 - Test Automation Tool – Test Plan Fails Due to Menu Button Not Detected in UI

Symptom

Test Plan execution fails with the error message: “Button not found for label Menu Alt+M”.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Cause

The Menu button is hidden in the application UI when the menu is collapsed during execution, leading to failure in identifying the UI element.

Resolution

  1. Log in to the Test system using Test User credentials.
  2. Open the affected application manually where the Menu button is not found during automation.
  3. Navigate to the “GUI Actions and Settings” dropdown.
  4. Select “Collapse Menu” so that the Menu button becomes visible.
  5. Once the Menu button is visible, return to the Test Plan and resume or re-execute the test plan.
