Symptom

When trying to migrate the fixed assets master data an error comes:

No segment for legacy data transfer was created yet in company code &1

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Attempt to migrate fixed assets master data using the migration cockpit.
  2. Observe the error message: "No segment for legacy data transfer was created yet in company code &1."

Cause

Missing configuration.

Resolution

  1. Complete 2.4 Preliminary Steps as detailed in the Best Practices Guide. Refer to: Best Practices Guide.
  2. As stated in the Test script of the scope item J62 - Asset Accounting, set a legacy transfer data segment in the App 'Make company code settings' before using the company code.
