3716587 - Performance Form Comments Limited to 4,000 Characters in Mobile Application

• Observed truncation of Performance Review Form comments when edited and saved via mobile.
• Desktop allows saving comments exceeding 10,000 characters, but mobile truncates them to 4,000 characters upon saving.
• Issue occurs consistently when switching between desktop and mobile platforms.

1. Login to desktop.
2. Open the performance document (latest experience) and add self-assessment section comments on desktop.
3. Ensure there are more than 10,000 characters (including spaces) and hit save. The form saves for the user.
4. Login to the same user on mobile and access the performance document.
5. Access the self-assessment comments section. View all 10,000 characters.
6. Click on edit and save on mobile.
7. Contents get truncated to 4,000 characters.
8. Login to desktop to check the comments section. It now shows 4,000 characters there as well.

• This is a current limitation of the SuccessFactors Mobile Application, where the maximum character limit is capped at 4,000 characters, even if no character limit has been configured in the Performance Review Form template.
• The limit is enforced at the mobile application level and operates independently from the configuration set in the web application.

1. Note that the functionality to remove or increase the character limit in the mobile application is not supported at this time.
2. Inform users that text truncation may occur when entering long comments through the mobile app.
3. Recommend accessing and saving performance documents with comments exceeding 4,000 characters via the web browser to avoid truncation.
4. Suggest submitting an Enhancement Request via SAP Customer Influence for the Product Management team to review this requirement for future releases.
