Symptom
- Candidates initially in "New application" status applied to a requisition without prescreening questions.
- Recruiters/operators added prescreening questions as disqualifiers after candidates had already applied.
- Candidates were automatically moved to "Auto disqualified" status by the system.
- Disqualified emails with delay were not triggered, as observed in the correspondence section.

Reproducing the Issue
- Confirm the "Delay Emails to Disqualified Candidates (in hours)" option is configured under "Manage Recruiting Settings."
- Verify the "Candidate Status Mail Delay" job is active under Monitor Jobs in Provisioning.
- In a requisition with no prescreening questions and candidates already in "New application" status, recruiters/operators added a prescreening question as a disqualifier.
- Candidates initially in "New application" status were moved to "Auto disqualified" status by the system, but emails were not triggered, as observed in the correspondence section.
Cause
The workflow is unsupported due to the introduction of disqualification questions after candidates had already applied.
Resolution
- Emails should ideally be sent to candidates moved to the "Disqualified" status.
- In this scenario, disqualification questions were introduced after candidates had already applied, which is an unsupported workflow.
- The functionality does not work as intended due to this workflow limitation.
