3716781 - Revenue Posting Occurs Despite "Lock Revenue Posting" Setting on Cost Center

Even though the Cost Center is configured with the "Lock Revenue Posting" indicator selected, revenue postings are still appearing on the Cost Center.

   • Statistical postings on the Cost Center are for informational purposes only and do not trigger the restrictions set by the "Lock Revenue Posting" indicator.

2. Logic of Revenue Postings:

   • Revenue is typically associated with "real" CO objects such as Profitability Segments, Sales Orders, or WBS Elements.
   • The "Lock Revenue Posting" restriction generally applies to real postings. Statistical postings are not blocked, as their purpose is purely for reporting and analysis.

To prevent revenue postings from appearing on the Cost Center, ensure: The revenue account postings are strictly assigned to a real Cost Center account assignment.
