3717016 - Actual values not displaying in app: market segments - plan/actual if filter for a customer group

Symptom

While executing the Market Segments – Plan/Actual application, the system displays plan data for the customer group, but no actual line items are shown, despite actual postings having been recorded for the customer account.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

Access the Market Segments – Plan/Actual App.
Specify the plan category along with the appropriate customer group.
Observe that while plan values are shown, actual items are not displayed.

Cause

The Customer Group is normally derived from the Customer Master during posting. However, this derivation does not occur for all posting types.
In particular, for manual journal postings that do not include a sales-related context, the system does not derive the Customer Group field.

Resolution

When a journal entry includes a customer number only as a line item—without Sales context—the Customer Group is not fetched, and the field remains blank.
This is expected system behavior.
