3718068 - emails stuck in queue and sent multiple times - sap event ticketing

Symptom

  • Emails sent via the extension are correctly dispatched but get stuck in the queue and are sent multiple times to the recipient.
  • Other emails in the queue are not processed while the affected email remains in the queue.
  • Built-in logs confirm the correct execution of the sendMail() function.
  • Removing the affected email from the queue allows other emails to be processed again.
  • Error message observed in cloud logging: "[2026-02-19T11:01:04.222220+01:00] php.CRITICAL: Uncaught Error: substr(): Argument #1 ($string) must be of type string, array given".
  • Exception details: "[object] (TypeError(code: 0): substr(): Argument #1 ($string) must be of type string, array given at /var/www/sap_et/src/SAP/EventTicketing/Bundle/MailProviderBundle/MailProviderManager.php:233)".
