3719355 - The system is not allowing to add ‘NO_MANAGER’ in the Job Information portlet after enabling the Latest Editing and History UI in PPX

Symptom

System prevents saving the value "NO_MANAGER" in the Job information portlet after enabling the checkbox "Enable the latest Editing and History UI for Employee Central HRIS entities on Full Profile (Except Compensation Information)" under General in Configure Latest People Profile.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to the user's Jobinformation section.
  2. Click on the pencil icon to edit the record.
  3. Provide any effective date for the change.
  4. Enter "NO_MANAGER" in the Supervisor field.
  5. Attempt to save the record.
  6. System displays an error and prevents saving.

Cause

Resolution

This is the expected behavior in the Latest People Profile, in line with the current product design and standard functionality. However, we encourage you to submit an enhancement request to have this functionality considered within future development cycles – you can do this on our Customer Community Portal at http://community.successfactors.com/.

Workaround 

  • You may use the Incremental Import or the MSS ‘Change Job and Compensation Information'. 
  • As a last alternative, you may consider reverting to the PP3 Edit & History view.
