3720022 - Validation rule activation error in Manage Configuration PCC

Symptom

  • Unable to activate validation rule in Manage Configuration.
  • Error in Manage Configuration:

    Validation rule can't be activated. Correct the issues reported in messages first

     

Environment

  • Human Capital Management (HCM)
  • SAP enhancement package for SAP ERP
  • SAP enhancement package for SAP ERP, version for SAP HANA

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Goto PCC link
  2. Navigate to Payroll link
  3. Goto Manage Configuration
  4. Click on Validation rules
  5. Select any one of the them and try to activate
  6. Error is displayed: Validation rule can't be activated. Correct the issues reported in messages first

Cause

Missing dimension in PYC_CONF_WB

Resolution

  • Make sure the the dimension is present in PYC_CONF_WB tcode in Validation Rule Type
