3720060 - Email notification requirement for Purchase Requisition creator upon Goods Receipt creation

• A requirement exists in the system for Goods Receipt processing.
• When a Goods Receipt Note (GRN) is created against a Purchase Order, the Purchase Requisition (PR) creator does not automatically receive an email notification.
• No automatic email is triggered.
• No standard configuration is available to enable this functionality.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Create a Purchase Order in the system.
2. Post a Goods Receipt Note (GRN) against the Purchase Order.
3. Observe that no email notification is sent to the Purchase Requisition (PR) creator.

There is no delivered standard feature in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition that automatically sends an email notification to the Purchase Requisition (PR) creator when a Goods Receipt (GRN) is posted against a related Purchase Order.

A Goods Receipt is technically a follow-on document of the Purchase Order and not the Purchase Requisition.
Therefore, the system does not automatically trigger notifications back to the original PR creator.
