3720144 - Application error when submitting personal data collection step - Onboarding

An error occurs when attempting to submit the Personal Data Collection (PDC) step from the candidate's perspective.

Error message: "An application error occurred. Please try again later, or notify support (with the error information of errorId=[IDNUMBER], timestamp=[TIMESTAMP], and the version information from the current screen) if the issue keeps occurring."

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Attempt to submit the Personal Data Collection (PDC) step from the candidate's perspective.
2. Encounter the application error with the provided error ID and timestamp.

There was a mismatch between the object field, which was a picklist type, and the UI configuration, which was a string type.

In order to check this compare both fields in Object definition and UI configuration. If the type is differente:

1. Delete the UI field associated with the issue.
2. Recreate the UI field to ensure proper configuration.

Support engineer check internal memo for the proper logs.
