Symptom
A short dump MESSAGE_TYPE_X occurs during posting in transactions such as:
-
MIRO (Logistics Invoice Verification)
-
MIGO (Goods Movement)
-
Other integrated posting scenarios
The dump analysis (ST22) shows:
-
Runtime Error: MESSAGE_TYPE_X
-
Program: SAPLRWCL
-
Include: LRWCLF01
-
Form: DOCUMENT_POST_LATE
-
Main program: SAPLMR1M / SAPLMIGO
Example excerpt:
The current application has intentionally triggered a termination with a short dump.
Underlying business messages may include, for example:
-
Budget exceeded (e.g. BP604)
-
Asset accounting inconsistencies (AAPO*)
-
FI/CO posting errors
-
Other application errors
In short:
The error is raised immediately before the accounting document would be posted.
At this stage SAP cannot safely terminate the process with a standard dialog message.
Therefore the framework triggers MESSAGE TYPE X to enforce a rollback and prevent inconsistent postings.
