3720163 - Short dump MESSAGE_TYPE_X in SAPLRWCL (DOCUMENT_POST_LATE) during MIRO/MIGO posting (finished soon)

Symptom

A short dump MESSAGE_TYPE_X occurs during posting in transactions such as:

  • MIRO (Logistics Invoice Verification)

  • MIGO (Goods Movement)

  • Other integrated posting scenarios

The dump analysis (ST22) shows:

  • Runtime Error: MESSAGE_TYPE_X

  • Program: SAPLRWCL

  • Include: LRWCLF01

  • Form: DOCUMENT_POST_LATE

  • Main program:  SAPLMR1M / SAPLMIGO

Example excerpt:

The current application has intentionally triggered a termination with a short dump.

Underlying business messages may include, for example:

  • Budget exceeded (e.g. BP604)

  • Asset accounting inconsistencies (AAPO*)

  • FI/CO posting errors

  • Other application errors

In short:
The error is raised immediately before the accounting document would be posted.
At this stage SAP cannot safely terminate the process with a standard dialog message.
Therefore the framework triggers MESSAGE TYPE X to enforce a rollback and prevent inconsistent postings.
