3720243 - Web Intelligence report refresh fails with error "Function or column reference must also appear in a GROUP BY" when using LIST function on SAP IQ universe

Symptom

  • Refreshing a Web Intelligence document based on SAP IQ with any object having LIST function fails with below error:
    The following database error occurred: "[SAP][ODBC Driver][SAP IQ]Function or column reference to 'Entity' must also appear in a GROUP BY.
    For information about this error, please refer to SAP Knowledge Base Article 2054721 on the SAP Support Portal. (IES 10901)"
  • In Information Design Tool as well, getting below error:
    "[SAP][ODBC Driver][SAP IQ]Function or column references to 'ObjectName' must also appear in a GROUP By"
