Does scope item 4AN support the processing of logistics‑based intercompany invoices?

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 

Cause

  • Scope item 4AN does not facilitate logistic (materials‑based) intercompany invoices.
  • It only covers intercompany billing for cross‑company cost accounting postings, not logistics or goods movements.

 

 

Resolution

Scope item 4AN handles intercompany invoicing for services, expenses, timesheets, activity allocations, and other CO‑based postings, not logistics.

  • It "supports intercompany billing for cross‑company cost accounting postings" such as timesheets, activity allocations, reposting, Concur expenses, and service confirmations. 
  • It enables creation of intercompany invoices for management accounting postings via Resource‑Related Intercompany Billing (RRICB).
  • It is one of several scope items used in the new Resource‑Related Intercompany Billing solution and is not tied to material movements or SD logistical intercompany flows.

Why this proves it is not logistics‑based:

  • This solution addresses resource‑related intercompany billing—that is, billing tied to services, expenses, and CO postings, not logistics or material movements.
  • There is no reference to SD deliveries, goods movements, material documents, or physical logistics, only CO postings and service-related flows.
