3720406 - Incorrect Frequency Flows to Onboarding

Symptom

Incorrect frequency appears in Data Review Step (frequency passed from recruiting is different, than the frequency which appears in the Data Review Step)

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Initiate Onboarding from Recruiting.
  2. Navigate to Data Review Step > Compensation > Frequency.
  3. Incorrect frequency appears (different from the one passed from the Recruiting).

Cause

  • For the external codes having overlapping mapping [for example, if you're passing "Monthly (M) from Recruiting, the value appears as Bi-Monthly (BIM) in Data Review Step], This is expected since the system picks the frequency in alphabetical order of the labels associated with the frequency (refer the screenshot attached).

  • For the external codes uniquely maintained, in those cases system will pick the exact match.

Resolution

This is a product designed expected behavior.
