How are required dates calculated for programs?

The due date of a program is controlled by the program's type (Open-ended, Duration based, and Scheduled) and the respective settings defined at the program's record. Hence when assigning programs (manually, assignment profile, etc.) there is no option to manually set a required date: once assigned, the system automatically calculates the required date for Duration-based and Scheduled programs, and there will no required date for Open-ended programs.
