3721441 - "AADSTS700016: Application with identifier [domain] not found in the directory" provisioning job fails on source system

Symptom

When running a provisioning job in SAP Cloud Identity Services - Identity Provisioning (IPS) with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) configured as the source system, the job fails immediately with the error:

"Oauth request failed with status: 400 and body: {error: unauthorized_client, error_description: AADSTS700016: Application with identifier <app-id> was not found in the directory <directory-name>...}"
