3721448 - How to deactivate an application from a Business Catalog

Symptom

Business catalogs have been assigned to a business role and they are granting access to a range of applications.

However access to a specific application needs to be removed for the business user who has been assigned the role.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the application "Maintain Business Roles" application;
  2. Click on the tab "IAM Apps";
  3. There will be no option to delete/remove specific applications.

Cause

It is not possible to remove an application from a business catalog.

Resolution

  1. Open the application 'Maintain Business Roles' applications;
  2. Click the tab 'IAM Apps';
  3. Select which application to 'Activate' or 'Deactivate'.
