3721585 - SAP APM / ALM SFTP Migration Guide

This guide provides the required steps you must take, in conjunction with your IT staff, partner or SAP Services, to connect to the new GoAnywhere SFTP service after your provisioning is complete. To ensure a smooth transition, we have broken down the process into four phases: Planning, Provisioning, Execution, and Verification.

This only applies to sftp definitions that reference SAP SFTP servers. The address/URL in reference will include the following:

From your APM or ALM Instance, Workflow, Agent Compliance, applications, scripts, or third-party tools and users the following URL values need to be modified:

The new URLs will be:

• For solutions based in the US:

• For Solutions based in the EU (Dublin / Frankfurt)

o Non-Prod - xfer-sbox-fra.calliduscloud.com

Please be aware that data retention of any file in the new environment will still be governed by a 90 day retention, just as your SAP SFTP environment is today.

Highlights of this processing change:

• It is being done to provide enhanced security, improved reliability, and support for modern encryption standards.  
• Passwords will no longer be used for authentication for SFTP access.  Going forward, all access will use key-based authentication. 
• It is highly recommended that you engage your IT Team or network team / partner / SAP Services to assist with guidance for this change if needed. 
• There will now be specific Non Production and Production GoAnywhere SFTP environments, and each will have a userid set up, and both will use the same userid as the current SAP SFTP solution.

NOTE - This guide is for modifying EXISTING FTP Definitions. To avoid modifying all File Sweeps and Extracts you must MODIFY existing definitions. To create a new FTP Definition, see Appendix 2.
