Symptom
After release 2602, some columns are missing in the Maintain Business Users app. For example, the Last Name column is not displayed. Similarly, other columns such as Valid From, Valid To, and Logged On are also not visible. Although these columns are selected in the table settings, their column separators are hidden and the fields do not appear in the table.
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Reproducing the Issue
- Open the app "Maintain Business Users".
- Observe that columns such as "Last Name," "Valid From," "Valid To," and "Logged On" are missing although these columns are selected in the table settings.
Resolution
The observed behavior is related to the new responsive table layout in the updated version of the "Maintain Business Users" app. The table automatically adapts to the available screen width and hides less important columns on smaller or narrower screens.
In the standard design, the "First Name" and "Last Name" columns are not treated as key identification fields and therefore are not configured with the highest importance level. Raising their importance to "High" would force these columns to always be visible, which could cause layout issues on smaller screens and hide other relevant columns.
To display specific columns more prominently, adjust the table layout as follows:
- Open the table settings (gear icon).
- Select or deselect the columns to display.
- Change the order of the columns so that the most important ones are shown first.
