3723628 - "Authorization error You are not authorized to import this package." when trying to import a package in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Symptom

  • When trying to import a package in SAC, error message appears: "Authorization error You are not authorized to import this package.".
  • The import screen does not show up.

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud Enterprise (2026.2.5)

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to SAC.
  2. Go to Transport>Import.
  3. Click on a package.
  4. Notice the error: "Authorization error You are not authorized to import this package."

    Cause

    Issue is under investigation by development team.

    There is a bug on the transport feature in scenarios when the SAC tenant is linked to a Datasphere tenant.

    Resolution

    Issue has been resolved in QRC 2 2026 (2026.08) 

    Workaround: Create a user in Datasphere tenant with the same email address as in SAC.  The user must be able to logon to datasphere and see the main logon screen.  Granting the role DW Viewer is sufficient to allow this to work.
