• Sorting of dimensions in the Analytic Model during design time does not match the order in the source Fact View.
• Dimensions in the Analytic Model are displayed in alphabetical order instead of the customized sequence defined in the source Fact View.

1. Open the source Fact View and check the order of dimensions in the model properties.
2. Create an Analytic Model based on the Fact View.
3. Open the Analytic Model in design time and check the properties for dimensions.
4. Observe that the dimensions are sorted in alphabetical order instead of the customized sequence from the Fact View.

System design.

The behaviour is by system design.

In the Analytic Model properties, the intention is to show what is delivered when the Analytic Model is consumed in SAC or in the Preview. As the Analytic Model is processed by Multi-Dimensional Services (MDS), where sorting is applied, the properties displayed in the Analytic Model reflect the way they will later be consumed through MDS. Therefore, even if sorting were removed from the Analytic Model UI, the consumed result would still appear sorted.

The behavior observed in the Analytic Model UI is designed to align with the sorting applied by MDS.
