Symptom

Changing the equipment partner data in Manage Material Serial Number app does not initiate the "equipment changed" business event. 

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the app "Manage Material Serial Number".
  2. Search for the serial number with Equipment.
  3. Click on "Edit".
  4. Navigate to the "Partners" tab.
  5. Change the Partner number for role AG/WE.
  6. Save the changes.

Cause

Resolution

  1. Open the app "Change Technical Object".
  2. Enter the Equipment number.
  3. Navigate to "Organization Data" tab.
  4. Add partners.
  5. Save the changes.
