Symptom
The SAP Mobile Start application allows administrators to add URLs or deep links to launch other applications directly from within the Mobile Start experience. However, no URL scheme or deep link can be found for the SAP Ariba Procurement mobile app.
Cause
The SAP Ariba Procurement mobile app does not publish a deep‑link URL scheme (e.g., ariba:// or com.sap.ariba.procurement://) and is not a BTP‑supported app with an SAP Mobile Services integration layer that would allow Mobile Start to trigger the native app directly through its standard mechanisms.
Deep links are only possible for apps that explicitly implement a custom scheme, which is not documented for SAP Ariba Procurement.
Additionally, SAP only documents browser‑based activation URLs for Ariba (e.g., https://<realm>.procurement.ariba.com), these do not launch the mobile app.
Resolution
The SAP Ariba Procurement app cannot be launched from SAP Mobile Start, because it does not provide a supported deep-link or URL scheme required for Mobile Start to open the native application.
Therefore:
- No launch URL exists for SAP Ariba Procurement.
- SAP Mobile Start cannot trigger the app, only SAP solutions that expose approved URL schemes or are BTP‑supported.
