3724994 - Configuration Preview doesn't have quote context when multi-tab is enabled

Symptom

After activating the Multi-Tab feature in CPQ, Quote Context is still not available on Configuration Preview in Setup. 

Environment

SAP SALES CLOUD CPQ

Reproducing the Issue

  • Open one quote in a tab
  • In another tab, go into Setup -> Product -> Edit a Product -> Layout -> Configuration Preview
  • Try to run a CTX tag and verify that context is not available.

Cause

Missing Functionality.

Resolution

  • Cause: Currently it is not possible to open the Configuration Preview when parallel quoting is enabled. Previously, the loaded quote ID was shared between open browser tabs
  • ETA: CPQ-2605 (May 2nd in Lower Environment and May 16th for Productive Environment)
  • Workaround: Have a quote open in another tab, or Product Catalog, in order to test the configuration.
