3724998 - How to generate a warning when there are unexpected day overlaps after a work schedule change

Symptom

You want to generate a warning if a time recording crosses a certain threshold during the following day

Environment

  • Employee Central
  • Time Tracking

Resolution

  1. Manage Data > Create New > Time Valuation
  2. Configure the time valuation as per the below screenshot, taking note that the "Next Day" option is chosen in the time segment details



  3. For the input group you can choose anything you wish to run this check for.
  4. The segment times can be adjusted according to your business needs
  5. Result: If an employee has a shift recorded on the day after the day of recording, it will generate a warning in the timesheet UI if it ends after the start time in the segment
