3725021 - OCN completion record fails with 500 authorization error

• OCN completions are not being recorded in SuccessFactors Learning.
• When checking the vendor logs, a 500 error is displayed with the following message: "You are not authorized to record this learning event for this user".

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

1. Configure OCN integration with a vendor >
2. As a user, complete training on the Linked Learning >
3. Verify if completions flow back to LMS >
4. Observe that completions are not recorded.

• The authorization error occurs when the admin configured on the OCN integration API does not have the required permissions to complete this action.
• The error can also occur if there is any restriction on the permission role limiting the records this admin can act on.

• The permissions assigned to the admin's permission role need to be reviewed to ensure that the admin can perform the action needed on the API.
• Reviewing the restrictions tab on the permission role is also advised to ensure there are no domain, function or state restrictions preventing the admin to complete the required actions and access the necessary records.
• For assistance to review the permissions, kindly work with your implementation partner or SAP Professional Services.
