3725087 - Messages cut off in English and Japanese across multiple MDF objects

Symptom

Messages in MDF objects are cut off when displayed in English and Japanese, making the text difficult to read; this occurs across multiple objects, for example on Family Information, Career development page.

Environment

Reproducing the Issue

Example for Family Information:

  1. Log in to the system
  2. Go People Profile Page
  3. Go to Employee Personal Data
  4. Search for Family Information
  5. Click on 'add' or 'edit' any of the shown boxes
  6. In MDF block the panel title text alignment is not proper

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.  

Cause

PPX is the new screen for PP3. There are a few CSS styles that apply only to PP3. Since we now invoke the PP3 dialog from the PPX screen, those CSS styles were not being applied.

Resolution

Currently this is expected behaviour, It will be included for customers as part of the 2605 release. We have now implemented these CSS styles to ensure they also work correctly in the PPX-to-PP3 scenario.
