3725548 - Address Validation Error in C4C Due to Region Code Mismatch Returned by SAP DQM

When creating a new account and using address validation for "Strandstr. 1, Kühlungsborn, Germany", the system returns the error message "MV is not a valid value for this field. Enter a valid value." when the State/Region field is populated.

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Log in to SAP Cloud for Customer.
2. Navigate to the Customer Work Center.
3. Open the Accounts OWL (Object Work List).
4. Click New (or Create) to create a new Account.
5. Set the Country to Germany.
6. Use the Search Address functionality (type-ahead search) and search for "Strandstr. 1, Kühlungsborn" in Germany.
7. Select one of the suggested addresses returned by the service.
8. The system automatically populates the address fields.
9. Observe that the State/Region field is populated with "MV" for Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
10. Attempt to save the account.
11. The system returns the error message: "MV is not a valid value for this field. Enter a valid value."

The region code configured in C4C for Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is set as "13", while the DQM service returns the region code "MV". This mismatch causes validation failure in C4C, resulting in the error.

Adjust the configuration in C4C to match the region code returned by the DQM service.

1. Navigate to Business Configuration → Overview → Regions.
2. Locate the entry for Germany – Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
3. Update the region code from "13" to "MV".
