3725568 - BW Live connection error: "...wrong credentials, or CORS is not configured correctly" and 'Cross-Origin Resource Sharing' is missing in UCONCOCKPIT.

In SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), upon creating a Live Direct connection to your BW or S/4 HANA system, the following error is raised:

"We couldn't connect to your S/4 HANA system. Possible causes: You are using the wrong credentials, or CORS is not configured correctly. For more information, see our troubleshooting page."

Upon trying to configure your backend system as per steps on SAP Help: Live Data Connection to SAP BW Using a Direct CORS Connection via Unified Connectivity, on transaction UCONCOCKPIT > HTTP Allowlist Scenario, the option Cross-Origin Resource Sharing is not available:

Also, testing the GetServerInfo service on a new browser tab (your_abap_server/sap/bw/ina/GetServerInfo?sap-client=XXX&saml2=disabled) works fine.
