3725617 - Error 406 not acceptable when selecting Business ByDesign Datasource in Datasphere Data Flow

Error occurs when attempting to select Business ByDesign (ByD) dDtasource directly from the 'source' pane in Datasphere (DSP) data flow creation.

producer1 failed with the following error:
org.apache.olingo.client.api.communication.ODataClientErrorException: (406) Not Acceptable [HTTP/1.1 406 Not Acceptable]
INZ-5000005: |Reader BODIVView1 Error number <5000005> occurred. There is no additional description. Message parameters are: <org.apache.olingo.client.api.communication.ODataClientErrorException: (406) Not Acceptable [HTTP/1.1 406 Not Acceptable]>.

• SAP Datasphere
• Data Flows

1. Create a generic OData connection.
2. Create a new data flow and drag a Business ByDesign (ByD) datasource directly from the 'source' pane to the flow area.
3. Create a local table with the same layout as the datasource and deploy it.
4. Deploy and execute the data flow.

Change the OData version from "V4" to "V2".

The selected OData version must be supported by the source system.
