3725623 - "502 bad gateway" error occurs when accessing load balancer URL

Symptom

  • Fiori URL is not accessible via the load balancer (LB) URL whereas the SAP Web Dispatcher URL is working properly. 
  • Error message: "502 bad gateway" encountered when accessing the LB URL.
  • Accessing the SAP Web Dispatcher URL works, but the LB URL fails.

LB stands for the Load Balancer which has been configured by SAP ECS/HEC team.
