Symptom
- When modifying a Job Relationship in Employee Central, if the new manager has the same name as the current manager, the workflow approval page is empty and not reflecting any changes.
- The workflow approval screen does not indicate that the manager has changed, even though the User ID has changed as well.

Reproducing the Issue
- Open an employee record in Employee Central.
- From the employee profile, select "Actions → Change Job and Compensation Information" to initiate the workflow.
- In the Job Relationships section, change the Manager (or other relationship type) to another person who has the same display name (but a different user ID).
- Confirm that the UI correctly shows the change, recognizing that a different person is being selected despite identical names.
- Save the changes and allow the workflow to start.
- Open the workflow approval screen or change summary.
- Observe that the workflow shows no change in the Job Relationship section.
Cause
This is a known issue.
It is caused by a defect in the workflow approval screen functionality, which fails to display changes in job relationships when the previous and new managers share identical names but have different Person IDs.
Resolution
The fix for this issue is planned to be deployed on 2H 2026 release.
