3725828 - Visibility of external codes in the latest people profile

• In the Latest People Profile, when the setting “Show External Codes for All Users” is disabled, external codes are still be displayed in Profile Preview and the profile header of the full profile.
• The external codes are also visible in the new data editing UI of the Full profile.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Profile - Latest People Profile

1. Log in to the SuccessFactors instance.
2. Navigate to Admin Center -> Configure Latest People Profile.
3. Under General Settings, disable the setting “Show External Codes for All Users” 
4. Navigate to an employee’s Profile header and observe that the external codes are still visible.
   

5. Navigate to the Full Profile -> Job Information -> Edit using the latest editing UI.
   

6. Observe that the external codes always appear in dropdown lists. 

Expected Behaviour

• This behavior is confirmed to be expected in the Latest people profile.
• The setting “Show External Codes for All Users” controls whether external codes are displayed together with labels for supported UI components in the Latest People Profile.
• However, certain areas of the Latest People Profile use their own display logic and are not fully controlled by this setting. As a result, external codes are always displayed in the following areas even when the setting is disabled:
  • The new data editing UI of the Full Profile - In this UI, external codes always appear in dropdown lists. When you select a value or leave a field unchanged, only the label is shown. 
  • The Cost Center field in Job Information
  • Profile Preview
  • The profile header of the Full Profile, where the employee's basic information is displayed
  • Employee Information and User Information cards on Full Profile
• On the other hand, The following areas are not controlled by the setting and never display external codes:
  • Custom Background Information cards
  • Trend Information Cards
