3725855 - Delta Columns CHANGE_TYPE and CHANGE_DATE not visible in Data Viewer or Data Products for Local Tables in HDLF Spaces in SAP Datasphere

Local tables created via Replication Flows in SAP Datasphere spaces of type SAP HANA Data Lake Files (HDLF) do not display the delta change columns:

• CHANGE_TYPE
• CHANGE_DATE

These columns:

• Are present in the physical target table in HANA Data Lake.
• Do not appear in the Datasphere Data Viewer.
• Are not available in Data Products or for graphical modeling in the modeling layer.

SAP Datasphere

This behavior occurs because Replication Flows executed in HDLF spaces create technical delta columns (CHANGE_TYPE and CHANGE_DATE) as internal replication metadata in the physical target table.

These columns are not exposed in the Datasphere modeling layer.

This design is specific to HDLF spaces and differs from standard HANA spaces, where such technical delta columns may be visible in the modeling layer.

The absence of CHANGE_TYPE and CHANGE_DATE in the Data Viewer and Data Products is expected behavior for HDLF spaces.

This is not considered a product bug, but a design limitation.
