Symptom

The following error occurs while selecting SAP Datasphere as Data Storage Location when creating model in SAP Analytics Cloud:

  • We could not retrieve any data from your SAP Datasphere system. Please reach out to your SAP Datasphere administrator.

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2026.2.6

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Logon to SAC and navigate to Modeler.
  2. Create a new model and select Start with an empty model
  3. Select SAP Datasphere as Data Storage Location
  4. See the following error occurs:
    We could not retrieve any data from your SAP Datasphere system. Please reach out to your SAP Datasphere administrator. 

Cause
