• The username field in the SuccessFactors Employee Central People Profile defaults to the personal email address after processing in Manage Pending Hires (MPH), even when the correct email address is entered during the hiring process.
• Admins are required to manually correct the username in the People Profile post-hire, which is time-consuming and prone to errors.
• This issue increases the risk of new hires being locked out of the system due to incorrect username mapping.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Navigate to Manage Pending Hires (MPH).
2. Select a user.
3. Observe the username field; it defaults to the personal email address.
4. Complete the MPH process and verify that the username field in the People Profile reflects the incorrect value.

• The username is mapped to the email address from a recruiting template.
• The username updated in MPH only appears in the Employee Central Profile after the candidate is successfully converted to an active user. Until then, the username field is updated only within the INTERNAL_USERNAME, which is not exposed on the UI.

1. Navigate to Recruit-to-Hire Data Mapping.
2. Go to Employee Central HRIS Elements > userAccountInfo > Username.
3. Remove the mapping of the Username field in Employee Central from the email address field in the Recruiting template.
4. Ensure that the username is correctly updated during the MPH process and verify its reflection in the People Profile post-conversion to an active user.
