Symptom
Business rule fails to delete pay component details from the recurring deduction record upon termination of employment.
Environment
SAP successfactors employee central: Recurring Deduction
Reproducing the Issue
- Configure the business rule to delete recurring deduction records upon termination of employment.
- Use the termination transaction on an employee record.
- Observe that the system creates a blank record row in the recurring deduction portlet without deleting the pay component details.
Cause
The child object "Recurring Deduction Item" is set as a non-secured object, which prevents the rule from deleting the pay components.
Resolution
Ensure the "Recurring Deduction Item" is set as secured by following below steps to resolve the issue.
- Navigate to "Configure Object Definition".
- Enable the child object "Recurring Deduction Item" as a secured object.
- Provide the necessary permissions for this object under "Manage Permission Role > Miscellaneous Permission > Recurring Deduction".
