3727055 - Fields PPE1 and/or PP2 become read-only and value disappears Sales Order Price Determination

Symptom

  • After the price determination is executed, the field "Standard Early Payment Discount (Element PPE1)" becomes read-only.
  • The value that was previously entered in the field is no longer displayed.

Environment

  • SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to Sales > Sales Order.
  2. Open the affected Sales Order; in the Products section, scroll to locate the "Product Price Element 1" field, which contains a value.
  3. Click on "Simulate" in the order header.
  4. Observe that the field value is cleared, and the field becomes read-only.
  5. If the condition type defined is removed, then the field becomes editable again.

Cause

The ERP system sets the  condition type to inactive (status: subsequent price) during the external pricing call. Inactive price components are not displayed as price elements in the Sales Cloud system. See also KBA 2184907

Resolution

Set up your pricing procedure accordingly, as described in KBA 2184907
