3727654 - Error when posting supplier quotation against custom RFQ document type in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Error message occurs ''Follow-on doc. is inconsistent. Quotation for RFQ XXXXXXXXX couldn't be created." when posting supplier quotation.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Create a Purchase Requisition in the "Create Purchase Requisition Advanced" app using the custom document type ZPR.
2. Configure the custom RFQ document type ZRFQ in SSCUI 104221 and the custom supplier quotation document type ZQU1 in SSCUI 103895.
3. Create an RFQ in the "Manage RFQ" app using the custom RFQ document type ZRFQ.
4. Add bidders to the RFQ.
5. Attempt to post a supplier quotation against the RFQ.
6. Observe the error message: "Follow-on doc. is inconsistent. Quotation for RFQ XXXXXXXXX couldn't be created."

Standard system behavior requires the document type name for RFQ and Supplier Quotation to be identical for successful creation of follow-on documents.

1. Ensure that the document type name for RFQ and Supplier Quotation is identical. For example, use ZRFQ for both RFQ and Supplier Quotation document types.
2. Update the description of the document type for both RFQ and Supplier Quotation (For example Custom for RFQ/Custom for SQ)
3. Test the configuration by creating an RFQ and supplier quotation using the updated document types.
4. Verify that the follow-on document can be created successfully without encountering the error message.
