3727673 - "No authorization to access the resource /sap/bc/adt/datapreview/cds..." error in ABAP Development Tools - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

Error message  "No authorization to access the resource /sap/bc/adt/datapreview/cds/I_XXXX" is being displayed in ABAP Development Tools when using the Data Preview functionality in a CDS View. 

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

Open ABAP Development Tools (ADT) and try to run 'Data Preview' (F8) for a CDS View. 

Cause

The Business Catalogs SAP_A4C_BC_DAT_PRV_DFT_PC and SAP_A4C_BC_DAT_PRV_RDO_PC are not assigned to the user.

The Business Catalog SAP_A4C_BC_DAT_PRV_DFT_PC allows the usage of the Data Preview in the ABAP Development Tools for objects that are considered to contain business data and the Business Catalog SAP_A4C_BC_DAT_PRV_RDO_PC allows the usage of the Data Preview in the ABAP Development Tools for objects that are considered to contain customizing and cross-client data. 

Resolution

Ensure that the Business Catalogs SAP_A4C_BC_DAT_PRV_DFT_PC and SAP_A4C_BC_DAT_PRV_RDO_PC are assigned to a business role that is assigned to the user.

*Kindly note that the Business Catalog SAP_A4C_BC_DEV_OBJ_DIS_PC is also required for ABAP Development Tools usage.
