3727842 - Authorization error while running the USA withholding tax 1042-S report

Symptom

When attempting to run the USA Withholding Tax 1042-S report in the app Run Statutory Reports.

The following error message is displayed:"No authorization for the action".

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the app Run Statutory Reports.
  2. Choose the USA Withholding Tax 1042-S report.
  3. Click "New Run" and the following error message is displayed:"No authorization for the action".

Cause

There is no corresponding business role.

Resolution

  1. Verify the business catalog associated with the USA Withholding Tax (1042-S) report. The relevant business catalog is SAP_FIN_BC_AP_ANALYTICS_US_PC.
  2. Open the app Business Catalogs and if the "Used in Business Roles" section is empty within the business catalog SAP_FIN_BC_AP_ANALYTICS_US_PC, please add this business catalog to a business role and then assign the updated business role to the CB user.
    If the "Used in Business Roles" section has value and then add that business role to the CB user.
