3727890 - Errors Commonly faced while using Plateau Report Designer (PRD) Tool

1] java.lang.IllegalStateException: Unable to acquire application service.

    Ensure that the org.eclipse.core.runtime bundle is resolved and started (see config.ini).

2] "org.eclipse.birt.report.data.oda.jdbc.JDBCException: There is an error in get connection, java.sql.SQLException:                         javax.net.ssl.SSLException: Received fatal alert: protocol_version" OR "Failed to load the JNI shared library ..." 

3] Caused by: com.plateau.common.reportservice.impl.ReportEngineException: parameterHandle is null:                                         task=org.eclipse.birt.report.engine.api.impl.GetParameterDefinitionTask@100e6de3                                                                   scalar=org.eclipse.birt.report.engine.api.impl.ScalarParameterDefn@23505a51.report=org.eclipse.birt.report.engine.

6] There is an error in get connection, java.sql.SQLException: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException:

    unable to find valid certification path to requested target 

7] After a recent refresh, connecting with Plateau Report Developer (PRD) client, the connection fails with one of these errors:

• Failed: java.sql.SQLException: java.io.IOException: Server returned HTTP response code: 500 for URL: https://<LMS-URL>/vjdbc/vjdbc
• Error in processing user's credential!

8] org.eclipse.birt.report.data.oda.jdbc.JDBCException: There is an error in get connection, java.sql.SQLException:

    java.io.FileNotFoundException: https://<baseURL>/vjdbc/vjdbc

14] org.eclipse.birt.report.data.oda.jdbc.JDBCException: There is an error in get connection, java.sql.SQLException:                          sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target 

15] Error is generated when testing connection to SuccessFactors Learning in Plateau Report Designer:

• org.eclipse.birt.report.data.oda.jdbc.JDBCException: There is an error in get connection, java.sql.SQLException:                                                     java.net.UnknownHostException: <host name>

           OR

• org.eclipse.birt.report.data.oda.jdbc.JDBCException: There is an error in get connection, java.sql.SQLException:                                                     java.net.SocketException:Connection reset

16] After following the steps to install and configure the Plateau Report Designer (PRD), user is still not able to have a successful        connection to the Learning Management System(LMS) database.

18] When adding the PA_CPNT_FORMULA & PA_CPNT_FORMULA_FIN_VAR tables in a query, the system throws the following              error: There is an error in get connection, java.SQL.Exception: java.io.IOException: Server returned HTTP response code:            504 FOR url: <CUSTOMER LMS URL>. 

19] After importing the custom report into the Plateau Report Designer tool, user unable to preview the report, as encountered          an error message:"HTTP ERROR: 500. Problem accessing /viewer/frameset. Reason: Server Error. Powered by Jetty."
