3727921 - Error "material not found" when adding item to bill of material in app Maintain Bill of Material (version 2) - SAP S/4HANA Pubic Cloud Edition

Error message: "Material & not found" appears when attempting to add an item with item category & (SP software) to the BOM using the app Maintain Bill of Material (version 2).

SAP S/4HANA Pubic Cloud Edition

1. Open the app Maintain Bill of Material (version 2).
2. Navigate to the bill of material for material &.
3. Attempt to add a new item with item category  (SP software) .
4. Save the item.
5. Observe the error message: "Material & not found".

It is known issue

1. A correction for this issue will be delivered with the release 2608, which is scheduled to be available by the end of August 2026.
2. As a workaround, use the app Maintain Bill of Material( Version 1) to add the item to the bill of material, where the scenario works as expected.
