3727942 - Ui rule does not trigger when values are manually removed from fields in mdf on people profile

• UI rules configured on MDF objects within the People Profile do not trigger when an existing field value is manually cleared or removed by the user.
• The rule executes as expected when values are added or modified, but no rule execution occurs upon value removal.

1. Navigate to an MDF-based object or relevant portlet where UI rules are configured.

2. Create or edit a record.

3. Enter a value in a field that is used as a condition in a UI rule.

4. Observe that the rule is triggered and updates the dependent field (for example, sets a field as required).

5. Remove or clear the value from the same field.

6. Observe that the UI rule is not triggered when the value is removed.

When a field is set as mandatory (required), an additional level of validation is applied to the field's model to ensure that the value is not empty. This validation is performed by the UI component (SAP UI5). Due to this specific behavior, the execution of the UI rule (the "else if" part) does not occur, which prevents the expected changes in the UI concerning the defined UI rules.

• This behavior is consistent across the application and will also apply to the New People Profile (PPX Edit Screens) starting with the 1H 2026 release. This reflects the intended system design.
• UI rules are designed to trigger only when field values are entered or changed. Clearing or removing a value from a field does not invoke rule execution.
