3728404 - Enhanced People Search Enablement and Re-indexing Schedule – SAP SuccessFactors 1H 2026

• The Enhanced People Search feature will be rolled out as an opt-out feature for all customers in the 1H 2026 release.
• Due to the time required to index or re-index tenant data across different data centers, the automatic enablement will occur on a staggered schedule.
• This KBA provides details on when each data center will be enabled for the Enhanced People Search feature with full functionality.

Important Notes

• Customers who opted in to Enhanced People Search in 2H 2025:
  Your tenant will require data re-indexing to access the new capabilities introduced in the 1H 2026 release. Until the re-indexing process is completed, your tenant will continue to operate with the previous version of the Enhanced People Search feature.

• All other customers:
  This will be the first enablement of the Enhanced People Search feature for your tenant. To ensure data integrity and system stability, tenant data must be fully indexed (or re-indexed) before the updated feature can be activated. Due to the large volume of data across data centers, the enablement will occur in a staggered schedule throughout the 1H 2026 release cycle.

Checking Your Enablement Status

To verify the current status of Enhanced People Search in your environment:

1. Navigate to Admin Center > Company Settings > Company System and Logo Settings.

2. Locate the switch “Enable Company Onboarding for Enhanced People Search.” The status will indicate:

• Unchecked: Indexing/re-indexing and enablement have not started yet.

• Checked: Proceed to check the “Enable Enhanced People Search” switch.

• Unchecked: Indexing/re-indexing and enablement are still in progress.

• Checked: Your tenant is fully enabled for Enhanced People Search, including all 1H 2026 features.

Enablement Schedule

The enablement schedule for Preview data centers is planned for April, and the schedule for Production data centers will be shared by May.

We will provide updates on the KBA as each phase progresses, including timelines for the enablement schedule. 

During the Transition Period (Data Indexing / Re-indexing Phase)

During the data indexing/re-indexing and enablement period:

For customers currently using Enhanced People Search (opted in during 2H 2025):

1. You will continue using the current Enhanced People Search functionality without interruption.

2. Your search experience will remain unchanged until the data re-indexing process is completed.

3. Once re-indexing and enablement are finalized, your tenant will automatically receive all new features introduced in the 1H 2026 release.

For all other customers:

1. You will continue using the existing legacy People Search functionality without interruption.

2. Once enablement is completed for your tenant, you will automatically transition to the Enhanced People Search experience, including all 1H 2026 features.

Manual Enablement Option

If your data center has not yet been automatically enabled, you may choose to enable the Enhanced People Search feature manually by following these steps:

1. Navigate to Admin Center > Company Settings > Company System and Logo Settings.

2. Enable the “Enable Company Onboarding for Enhanced People Search” switch.

3. Wait until the “Enable Enhanced People Search” switch is automatically activated once the indexing process is completed.
