3728494 - Product Hierarchy Nodes Not Visible in Production Planning Apps or Production Execution Apps

Product hierarchy nodes are not searchable or visible in Production Planning or Production Execution Fiori apps.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open a Production Planning app or a Production Execution app.
2. Use the product hierarchy node filter or search field.
3. No results are returned, the product hierarchy nodes are neither visible nor selectable.

Missing configuration. The product hierarchy can only be displayed if the material is assigned to a product hierarchy node of a product hierarchy with status Active or In Revision in the Manage Product Hierarchies app. In addition, this product hierarchy has to be assigned to the 01 - Production Planning or 02 - Production Execution purpose in the Assign Product Hierarchy for Production app.

Step 1 - Verify the hierarchy status

1. Open the Manage Product Hierarchies app.
2. Search for the affected product hierarchy.
3. Confirm the status is Active or In Revision.

Step 2 - Assign the production purpose

1. Open the Assign Product Hierarchy for Production app.
2. Locate the affected product hierarchy.
3. Assign the correct purpose based on the target apps:
   
   • For 01 - Production Planning. (PP-MRP Apps)
   • For 02 - Production Execution. (PP-SFC Apps)
4. Save the changes.
