3728676 - Error Message: Maintain a Valuation Rule for Accounting Principle INAP and RA Key SFS

When using the app Event-Based Revenue Recognition - Sales Orders, after inputting a sales order and navigating to its details, the following error message appears upon clicking the Revalue button and selecting Simulate:
"Maintain a valuation rule for acc. principle INAP and RA key SFS if required"

The error occurs due to missing customization of the Recognition Key and Accounting Principle configurations in the Event-Based Revenue Recognition settings.
This issue is identified as a corner case resulting from a system bug under specific conditions:

• The Event-Based Revenue Recognition (EBRR) scope items were initially activated without integration for Sell from Stock.
• Customizations were later performed for combinations of Ledgers, Accounting Principles, and their assignments to Company Codes.
• Subsequently, the Sell from Stock scope item for EBRR was activated, leading to missing configuration entries for Revenue Recognition Keys assigned to the INAP accounting principle in the detailed view of the customization.

To resolve this issue, follow the below workaround steps:

Remove Invalid Assignments to INAP:

• • Go to the Implementation activities under SSCUI 102530 - Maintain Settings for Event-Based Revenue Recognition
  • For each Revenue Recognition Key (excluding those linked to the Sell from Stock integration), delete all assignments to the INAP accounting principle for all Company Codes.

Trigger Background Update for Missing Customizations:

• • Navigate to the Implementation activities under 103556 Assign Accounting Principles to Ledgers and Company Codes.
  • Perform a dummy change: modify the Accounting Principle for a Company Code in a Ledger, save the changes, revert the Accounting Principle to its original value, and save the changes again.
  • This action triggers a background update for all dependent integrations and generates the missing customization entries for Event-Based Revenue Recognition.

Additional Information
A permanent fix is under development; however, the delivery timeline for the fix is not yet confirmed.
